It's minus 2-billion outside...

One of these would feel good right now.

Already the number one choice for monks, secret fraternal organizations, and cults.

Yesterday a stupid day for hockey...

First, Sean Avery says something that could have gotten his head beat in by the Flames last night...

Then Scott Hartnell does something less offensive but just as idiotic...

As I wonder if the game will ever recover from such moronnery, this will always make me happy.

This is the end...

...this is the end of rickrolling.

That leaves the door open to every other guilty-pleasure musician from the last four decades to become an internet meme.

But who will it be?

Saskatchewan has an area of 588,276.09 km²

100 per cent of that area will have High-Speed Internet from SaskTel in three years, making dial-up finally obsolete.

I really feel sorry for the people that still have dial-up.

That sound would drive even Helen Keller crazy.

A talking Recipe Card box

Last week, I tried a Nintendo DS game called Personal Trainer: Cooking. Basically, it not much of a game at all, but rather a software that teaches you how to make many dishes step-by-step.

Oh, I have this game already. It's called a COOKBOOK!

I wonder if those books are still being made, she's like 150 years old.

In that same vein, they've also released the video game equivalent to the Public Library.

Just waiting for that Wardrobe Malfunction...

The Grey Cup yesterday was, in my mind, a dud. The game was not really that exciting, and the half-time show stunk in both official languages.

I think they should have brought in the Taylor Field dog show instead.

This could be useful...

Ordering pizza from my PVR.

I can already look up the phone number for the pizza place on my cable service, so this is the logical next step.

I'm starting to like Bloomberg. If only I was rich, held stocks and regularly got up at 5:00am when I can actually watch it on TV.

There is no stopping them; the ants will soon be here.

And I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.

Although I won't be surprised if they find that smoking crater and there's a tool bag in it.

The idiot tax, indeed

I have lost at Lotto 6/49 before, but I found this latest loss to be particularly devestating.

My last number in numerical order: 22.
Their first number drawn in same order: 24.
I'm not going to be dumb and sue the lotto corporation, though.

Moose Jaw is now even more jealous of us...

Swift Current's getting the 2010 World Women's Curling Championships!!!

I just hope I am over the jet lag from my two weeks in Vancouver by this time ;)

The Fixx thought it was all right...

If you watched any American football or baseball game in the past month, you definitely saw this several times during every telecast...

That ad is getting pulled after this Sunday because thousands of people told Toyota it is both annoying and insulting.

Insulting? All I see is a big zero pushing cars with a song from the Fixx in the background. Sure the zero is a fence-sitting number of colour, the vehicles being sold are Japanese, and the Fixx are only a moderate success, but neither of these should matter now.

Maybe I haven't seen them enough. Those ads haven't run in Canada. We get these instead.

U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!! U-S-A!!!

I kinda wish I was in America, that place was nuts last night.

Congratulations, neighbour, for not just on making such an historic and groundbreaking night for the entire world, but for finishing the election in one night.

Just to mention, I have most if not all of the major English news channels and networks from Canada and the US. I was flipping between them through the evening, but the most coverage I watched was from CNN, mainly because Wolf Blitzer was the only one who can pull off a friggin' hologram in the studio.

Beam me up, Anderson.

CTV's just jealous.

Time to buy some penny whistles and ribbon candy...

I got a survey in the paper mail today, asking me what sort of foods I keep in my pantry and fridge, and what foods I buy normally, and general questions about cooking.

To thank me in advance for taking part, the polling firm enclosed a shiny new dollar coin.

A whole dollar.

That's our economy for ya, just booming!

I never thought I'd say this, but...

...the new intro for Hockey Night in Canada is better than I expected.

Could've done without the bagpipes, though. It isn't curling.

Meanwhile, over on TSN...

Ohh... pretty touchscreens!

Look what America gets to vote on while we had to use pencils and papers and, heaven forbid, mark an 'X' like suckers.

But it looks like Mr. McFeely's having problems with it.

I never figured Barney Rubble to be a Republican.

I found a game I'm good at...

Tetris Party. Only came out on WiiWare yesterday.

This was my first time playing the game...

Am I in Saskatchewan?

Of course I am Mr. Facebook Ad Wizard. And I may not know where you are from, but I can now tell that you neither in, nor do you know anything about it.

And you and your friends who spew toward me the insulting amounts of dating site ads and ads for Japanese night clubs can all take a blindfolded night stroll across the freeway.

Wednesday, October 15, 2008

You better start allowing us on the show again, Pat...

...because during Canada Week, on the Canadian Election day (in which Harper won another minority), and the day after the Canadian Thanksgiving, your show gave away a million dollars.

You're welcome.

At least they didn't drop it...

...but even Def Leppard should know that very few trophies have a narrow base.

Sean Avery was right, the NHL does suck at marketing. Last I checked it wasn't 1988 anymore.
