Where was this when I was a kid?

In recent weeks, I have seen an official Mario Kart Racetrack (half the price of the actual Nintendo DS game, but no wi-fi), and an official Nintendo Monopoly game (not a knock-off like Horse-opoly, Bible-opoly, or Edna-Krabopoly).

20 years ago when I would have enjoyed those (imagine, a 4-year-old kid playing with electric race cars and Monopoly), Nintendo put their name on cereal, yet I've never seen it in the stores.
