'Although my name's not Bamber'

Good news for motorists, the traffic signals at the intersection of Central Ave. N and George Street are back in operation. They were taken out in the windstorm back on June 30, and it took the city 18 days before they were fixed on Wednesday. Until it was fixed, the intersection was controlled by a 10-lane 4-way stop, and only one auto accident occurred in that time.

Yesterday on Ryan Switzer's morning show, he said he's happy that the lights are working again. If it took the city any longer to get them fixed, he would have to put the Monty Python classic, "I Like Traffic Lights" on a continuous loop until they got fixed.

If you haven't heard the song before, it starts after the unnecessarily long drum-roll

Honestly, it was the funniest thing I have heard on local radio in some time (it was only played twice. Once on its own, the other through the intro of Tarzan Boy - Baltimora). You know, Ryan, plenty of trees were also uprooted in that storm, then how about playing The Lumberjack Song until the clean-up's done?
