"...the honour of announcing..."

At 5:00pm CST today, the International Olympic Committee will announce the host city for the XXII Olympic Winter Games in 2014. It will either be Salzburg, Austria; Peyongchang, South Korea; or Sochi, Russia.

In fact, it was four years and two days ago, that this announcement from the IOC occurred...

5:25pm - The announcement was just made. Sochi, Russia will host the XXII Winter Olympics. Peyongchang was second, Salzburg third. Kinda the same as last time.

Really? I knew that, but how come they were absent at every Games since the sport was re-introduced in 1998?
